Having them in our home for over 3 months during a pandemic that spanned Halloween, Thanksgiving, Three Birthdays, Christmas, and New Years could have been a nightmare. But they were awesome to work with. They communicated with us very step of the way and made sure we were always comfortable. And we love the end result.

We recently had Sovereign Construction complete an unfinished basement project. We were incredibly happy with how well it turned out. It was evident that Steve and his crew take great pride in their work and what they offer. The attention to detail and building exactly what we wanted was exceptional. From concept into design, our finished space was so easy with their process. We met several times to plan what we wanted and Steve worked around our schedules to help make that happen. The team was great to work with and they provided lots of help throughout the entire project. We went to various vendors who they work with and everyone we met with were very friendly and extremely easy to work with as well. The job site was always well organized and maintained. For a small 20′ deck resurface project Steve was the only person who came to my house to do a proper quote while others just gave a rough estimate too high to even consider.  His recommendation to use 20′ length boards to eliminate seams was a great idea and resulted in a very nice clean…

Sovereign Construction recently did some work on our new home including replacing carpet with hardware, installing granite counter tops and piping propane to our new range. Everything was extremely well done. The work started when Steve said it would, all surprises were dealt with quickly and we weren’t hit with any change orders we didn’t specifically ask for. We’ve already started another list of items for Sovereign to work on. I’d recommend Sovereign to anyone looking for help from small projects to large additions.

One of the most important things I have learned in life is … when to ask for help. The very thought of Emmy and me converting our two “empty nests” into guest quarters, by ourselves, was frightening. We both agreed that a floor to ceiling, wall-to-wall restoration project was beyond our limits … we needed help! Steve, you were the help we needed. In the Fall of 2010, we had all of our house windows replaced. The entire project was performed by Sovereign Construction. We were very happy with the scheduling, the work and the follow-up. We had our basement finished. We wanted to finally transform it from the typical basement depository of old furniture, electronics, photos, albums, toys, decorations, etc., etc. into useful living space. Sovereign Construction helped to develop a plan and built a comfortable family space with a custom bar. The best part however, about working with Steve is that he really listens to your ideas. He doesn’t pretend to listen and then does whatever he wants. We sat down with him and had multiple intelligent discussions about the “ifs”,” ands” and “buts” of what we wanted, what was needed, and the ever-important $$$ questions. I’m a big believer in reduce, reuse, recycle and Steve never blinked an eye. God bless him, he is a patient man and of the highest integrity. Would we recommend and use him again? You bet!

We have an old stone farmhouse and nothing is square, level or plumb. Our old front door and transom needed replacing, but it was not an easy process. Everything was custom fit to work with the existing trim and a new threshold had to be custom made on site. Steve was careful to keep the workspace clean, and worked around my schedule. The new front door is beautiful and airtight! We were happy with the end result and have received many compliments. I would not hesitate to have Steve help us again in the future.
